It’s always fun and mesmerizing to see perfectly well-timed photographs. Capturing a particular moment at the exact time is a skill that many photographers practice for years. Sometimes, however, it’s not always those fleeting moments that make for the best photographs.

Long-exposure photography is a form of photography that, essentially, attempts to capture the passing of time.

Long-exposure photos are incredibly interesting because they create an illusion of movement in a still photo — usually with the assistance of passing light, like the sun, or the headlights of a car.

Scroll down and enjoy 30 of the most epic long-exposure photographs ever captured.
