Just the thought of being next to a Lion is scary, the fact that they could take your life in one swipe is unsettling. What if you were so emotionally connected to a lion, you were sure they wouldn’t harm you? Even then, it takes a brave soul to be cuddly with the king of the jungle! This lone woman is hanging out with 4 lions, watch as they treat her like the leader of their pride.
Or Lazmi has integrated her self into a group of 4 lions, see how she did it below!
She’s been with them since they were cubs, as a motherly figure their whole life.
Or Lazmi works at a privately-owned wildlife park in South Africa where they’re trying to appeal to the public using a unique approach. She is so confident the lions will stay calm for her, she is willing to bring in people into the enclosure with them.
She has been establishing her dominant role with the Lions since they were babies.
Since young cubs Or Lazmi has learned how to read the lions, she knows their habits, personalities, looks, and mood swings. She even puts them back in place when they cross the line!
“We’ve been there since they were babies and we’ve always been the grownups so i think we’re stronger in their eyes.” Lazmi also said “they needed to have a figure to put them back in place and they are put back into place when they misbehave.”
They plan on integrating the lions back into the wild when they’re older.
It’s a sad fact that there are more lions in captivity than in the wild in South Africa. Lazmi and the park hope to be able to release the lions back into the wild when they’re older.
It’s a common belief that in order to release animals back into the wild they must have zero human contact but Lazmi hopes she can prove them wrong.
“If we can take the animals from this situation and prove that you can turn them wild again, then we can be saving quite a few of them and we believe its possible, we believe our intimate knowledge of these ones, will help us achieve that goal.” Said Lazmi .
