There are so many talented kids out there, and some of the most talented have showcased their dancing skills on shows like America’s Got Talent or Little Big Shots. But one little girl has been sweeping the internet with her incredible dance skills in videos paired next to professionals. But more than being featured in videos, she’s showing them up and showing off. No matter who, she’s next to- she’s stealing the show.
Anaé Romyns hails from Belgium and was born with a passion for dance. Most children her age are figuring out what they love to do, whether it involves sports, art, or music, but Anaé has it figured out- and she is good at it. The way this kid moves is incredible. The complex choreography that she is doing, whether they’re fast or slow movements, is something that seems like it should take a lifetime to learn. But for Anaé, it comes naturally. She currently attends school at the AfroHouseBelgium dance school, where she perfects her already incredible skills alongside instructors like Jeny Bonsenge. Jeny is the founder and CEO of the school and also a professional dancer and choreographer. She has also become Anaé’s main mentors.
All the attention came from sharing a few of their dance videos on social media, and they spread like wildfire. They have been viewed over 16 million times. The duo moves so well together that you forget that Anaé is only 9 compared to her professional teacher, and her moves match Jeny’s toe-to-teo. The pure joy that spreads across Anaé’e face when shes moving is one of the reason’s she’s gone so viral. When you see someone so passionate about something, and loving every minute of it, it’s hard not to smile, and that’s the kind of video that everyone needs in their lives.
Anaéhas caught the attention of multiple celebrities since her online dancing debut. Award winning entertainer P!nk shared one of their videos on Instagram with the caption “This brought me so much joy!”. Ellen Degeneres has recently discovered his videos and featured her on the show for a performance and interview where she gushed about how great of dancers the Anaé and Jeny are, as well as the positive image they are spreading that is “Love has no color”. Ellen even divulged that she first heard of the dancers from the princess herself, Megan Markle, which came as a total shock to young Anaé. It’s refreshing to see the next generation be passionate and great at something while bringing a smile to others’ faces in a time where all there seems to be is bad news.
