Just like a kid, or even an adult for that matter, dog’s can become attached to certain items. When an item that they love is damaged or needs a repair, their worry can go into overdrive. Which is why this next dog’s reaction is so cute as he intently watches his owner repair his damaged plush toy.
Here is more about this adorable dog and his priceless reaction as his favorite toy is repaired.
Leo the Golden-doodle

Leo, a golden-doodle from Latham, New York had just discovered his favorite toy was damaged. Luckily, for him, his dad had some sewing skills. As dad sat down to sew the little, brown dog toy back together, Leo sat by expectantly. Fortunately, this was all caught on video, and the adorable dog’s reaction is priceless.
Emergency Surgery

Leo’s owner, Hayley Alaxanian filmed the duo as the emergency surgery was performed. The video was posted on Reddit by Hayley’s sister Eden where it garnered over 60,000 upvotes. One redditor even painted a picture of the encounter within just a few minutes of the video being posted.
According to Hayley, “My father loves his dogs. This video of my dad and Leo sewing his favorite toy back together has to be the purest thing I have ever seen.”

Once the surgery was done, Leo excitedly leapt into the air to retrieve his favorite toy. Leo then proceeded to show off his now repaired toy to his brother Rowan, a black Labrador. Even before this the pair had become an Internet sensation in their own right, having their own Instagram page, Beefandbones.
Beef and Bones

The Beefandbones Instagram page features photos from the cute dog’s everyday life. Most of the photos on the page feature the two adorable dogs playing, looking at food, and spending time with their hoomans, who monitor the account for the pair.
Why Do Dogs Pick a Favorite Toy?

When choosing a favorite toy, most dogs have some criteria in mind, is the toy chewable and does it make any noise. This is due to the nature of dogs and where they come from. The perfect toy plays into their roots as wild animals, reminding them of prey, and stimulating that part of their brains.
Other reasons for a dog to pick one toy over another is that the toy might remind them of their siblings, or in the case of a mother dog, puppies who were taken away too soon. Hunting dogs, such as Labradors or retrievers might simply be following their hunting instinct when they carry around a plush toy in their mouth.
The Best Toys for Dogs

The best toy for a dog depends on a few factors. The first is age, with smaller puppies needing softer rubber that is not as hard on their young teeth. An older dog, on the other hand, has a strong enough jaw for harder rubber toys. You should also factor in the size of your dog, with larger dogs needing larger and more durable toys to account for their stronger bite.
Ultimately though, the best toys for dogs are those that stimulate them. This helps them developmentally and can keep them from chewing on items they shouldn’t. Here’s a video of this adorable dog looking on while his dad performs emergency surgery on his favorite toy.
