In a video that has already had more than fifteen million views, Daneliya Tuleshova sings ‘Rise up’ by Andra Day in a The Voice Kids Ukraine knockout round.
The young singer’s crystal-clear and powerful singing voice filled the room as she belted out ‘Rise Up’ into the microphone with ease and complete focus.
The judges watched with amazed expressions on their faces and passed approving looks among each other as they listened to Daneliya’s voice fill the air. They looked genuinely impressed, and rightfully so.
A performance worthy of winning
As the beat of the music amplified, the audience clapped along and listened to the mesmerizing voice of the lively singer.
The lyrics filled the room:
“And I’ll rise up
I’ll rise like the day
I’ll rise up
I’ll rise unafraid
I’ll rise up
And I’ll do it a thousand times again
And I’ll rise up.”
And she kept singing, with more and more energy and confidence as the song progressed.
She hit all the high notes with a voice much bigger than we would expect to come out of such a small singer.
The spectacular singer continued to belt out the notes, jumping with the music as the lighting effects behind her exploded like a million fireworks, perfectly choreographed with the music and the rise of Daneliya’s arms as she really began to get into the moment and bring the song to life.
It was clear that she was growing more comfortable with being on the stage as her personality and style really began to have a chance to shine through.
An impressed crowd and judges
The performance came to an end and brought everyone in the crowd to their feet. Their enthusiastic clapping continued on for quite a while after the singing was done.
The judges were so amazed that she even ended up with a hug from one of them. They had loved the performance.
Needless to say, she would be going on to the next round and then on to win the entire season.
A star in the making
Prior to The Voice Kids, the rising star performed on Children’s New Wave and won the Audience Award.
After The Voice Kids, she went on to compete in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Minsk with the song “Ózińe sen.” She also performed in The World’s Best competition, where she reached the semi-finals.
While she focuses on mathematics at school currently, the student has also practiced ballroom dancing and taken contemporary dance classes as well as acting and singing classes. We think the singing ones really paid off!
We expect to see a lot more of this performer in the future. She has a winning voice and the energy to take it as far as she wants to go.
