Life is full of trials and tribulations, that can seem impossible to get past. When disaster strikes, you have no choice but to sift your way through the chaos and hold on. Sometimes, people are blessed by strangers who empathize with their situations. That’s what happened for this family after their father lost his leg and couldn’t work.
A stranger gifted them $50,000, to help them through the unfortunate times.
Brad Crow has known about hardship since he was a kid, at the age of 14, he was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer
A Cancer called, osteosarcoma, attacked Brad’s body which led to arduous rounds of radiation and chemotherapy. He eventually had one of his legs replaced with a cadaver bone, before recovering from the rare form of cancer.
Now an adult, Brad, and his wife Erica set out to build their dream house when tragedy struck again
While in the process of building the house, Brad’s cadaver knee gave out. He had a surgery replacing it and was sent home to recover, but it wouldn’t be so easy. A severe staph infection had developed, doctors had no choice but to take his leg.
During the ordeal, doctors had discovered another disease in brads hip and had to replace it as well. The family had no choice but to get by on Erica’s salary as a school bus driver while putting the dream home on halt.
It took Brad over a year to recover, but being out of work made it impossible to finish the house. That’s why Erica’s sister reached out to East Idaho News’s, Nate Eaton
For years, Nate, and the East Idaho news have gone around, giving out huge, anonymous presents to people who really need it. This year they’re helping an un-named local give out $500,000!
The family was living in the shop that Brad had finished before his health deteriorated, their adorable son answered the door and went to get his mother. When Erica came to the door, she knew what was going on because she had seen the show before.
They came in, asked Brad about his story, and handed the family a box with a $50,000 check to help build their house
The humble family never could have imagined, that it would be $50,00 inside the card! Brad and Erica cried tears of joy, they never thought they would actually be able to finish the dream home they’d started.
“He’s been so strong, even when I get down he says “it’s just one day at a time,” we’ll be fine.” Of course, he has his down days, but considering what he’s been through, we’re glad to have him still. This is huge, thank you.” Erica told Nate from East Idaho News.
On top of the $50,000, they also gifted Brad a year of free health insurance
