So do cows have good taste in music?
Some may think that when a herd of cows gathers to listen to some music that it’s just a coincidence, but they are about to be proven wrong.

What’s That On The horizon?
In what appears to be less than a minute of playing way off in the distance there appear to be some cows
As the man keeps playing, it can be seen that the cows are coming closer and seem to be moving at a decent pace.
They Just Keep On Coming
The man keeps playing his rendition of Royals By Lorde
As he does so, more and more cows are coming towards him.

A large audience of cows stand before the musician
As those who have gathered enjoy the music more continue to join them. It is intriguing to see that they stop in front of him and don’t just keep going on by him.

He brings his Mother to play the piano while he plays the trombone.

The Study of Zoomusicology
While the many instances of animals enjoying music may be entertaining, there is actually a field of study dedicated to this
This is a combination of musicology and zoology technically called zoosemiotic,s which in plain English means the study of music on animals.
What is the Effect?
Cows seem to respond to many different forms of music
Does The Kind Of Music Count?
Another study with dogs showed that they had different responses to different types of music. Some reactions were noted when classical music was played but responded best to Reggae and Soft Rock.
You might want to experiment with your dog or cat and see which music appeals to them the most. Or maybe the next time you are out in the country and want to see the cows up close, try playing a musical instrument. You just never know what kind of response you might get.
