It’s summertime — time for running through the sprinklers, riding bikes until the sun goes down, and waiting for that tell-tale sound of the ice cream truck cruising the neighborhood. As a kid — it’s one of the best times of the year.
Summer happens to be Reggie the Staffie’s favorite time of year too — well, at least for the ice cream part.
Reggie is an adorable Staffordshire Terrier who has an awesome routine going on with the ice cream man. When the ice cream truck shows up on Reggie’s street — Reggie gets a treat.
It could be ice cream, of course, but sometimes he even gets pork scratchings. Pretty much the epitome of a dog’s dream. Reggie’s parents worked out a nice little deal with the ice cream man for the precious pup.
Reggie doesn’t get his treat specially handed to him though — he needs to wait in line just like all the other kids.
The sweet dog patiently waits as his owner films him sitting near the ice cream truck — he knows he’s unable to get in line for ice cream until he receives the command to do so.
As soon as he gets the go-ahead, Reggie is off running toward the ice cream truck line with his tail wagging like crazy.
With his tail wagging frantically, Reggie tries to stay calm and sit — awaiting his icy, creamy treat.
The ice cream man is busy whipping up the cones for the two little girls that had already ordered but as he hands out the last one, he notices Reggie looking up at him with eager eyes. The cuteness is out of control.
The man disappears back in the van to grab Reggie’s special treat — but the dog just gets antsier.
Reggie’s tail is wagging so fast you’d think he’d take flight!
The adorable dog is so excited, he really just can’t stay still — his front paws are impatiently lifting on and off the ground. It’s fairly obvious that ice cream is one of his favorite treats of all time.
Finally, at long last, the ice cream man has a very special treat for the good boy — a scoop of vanilla on a delicious sugar cone. A summertime classic.
The second the Staffie gets a hold of that icy treat, it’s gone just about as fast he received it!
