Tammi Kippes Sauer learned her bridesmaids are still rocking their bridesmaids dresses from her 1995 wedding.

Just look at that style! A rich, burgundy brocade and off-the-shoulder sex appeal completes the look. How could you not “wear it again?”
Like most brides, Sauer wanted her attendants to have something original. She turned to Jessica McClintock.
And well, she got what she wanted. She had her gowns custom made.
“Apparently, not everyone in 1995 wanted a long, off-the-shoulder gown in a burgundy brocade fabric that looked like a Thanksgiving tablecloth,” she said. “Those dresses were handmade by moms, grandmas, and random seamstresses.”
I disagree Tammi. That’s a look that keeps on giving! I’m calling my tailor right now.
One of her bridesmaids, Heidi Mann, let her friend know that brocade, lace, and hours spent at the sewing machine were not wasted.
“The way Tammi was so apologetic made me think about how almost every person whose wedding I’d been in hoped I’d be able to wear their dress again,” Mann told BuzzFeed News, á la the Katherine Heigl film, 27 Dresses.“I don’t blame them…I did the same thing to my bridesmaids. I was certain I was getting them dresses that they would be able to wear again. I wasn’t.”
But look. You can garden in it!
Mann showed off how versatile her dress is.
In addition to gardening, it goes great with utility goggles and a toolbox! Talk about “grrrl power!” Rosie the Riveter has nothing on Mann!
And, it’s perfect for laundry day.
Mann revealed she has her own horde of bridesmaids dresses.
“Five years ago when we moved back from living in London she gave them to me. Now they are almost vintage,” Mann said. “Really, I can’t get rid of them now! I have a daughter. She will want to wear them. You know she will.”
Of course Sauer was thrilled to learn her friend was still getting use out of the dress.
“I laughed. I cried. I’m pretty sure it’s the best thing I’ve ever seen in my life,” Sauer said.
Her friends on Facebook agree, and seem to think she won the Internet.
