As she aged, Joan also started to slowly feel like she was getting invisible.
Her hair color is lighter, and wrinkles began to show. She may not be too old at 54, but the woman felt old on the inside and she was not feeling as pretty as she would like to be.
She wanted to rediscover herself and see that she can also be beautiful on the outside, and not only on the inside. And so, she went to seek the guidance of no less than the legendary Makeover Guy. And believe me, her transformation is definitely the one to watch for!
When she sat on that makeover chair, the only thing Joan wanted was to see how she could look better. But, The Makeover Guy made her more than just “better”!
Joan already has a beautiful smile and a lovely personality. All she needed to do was to find the perfect hairstyle and hair color that would highlight her incredible features. First up, her hair color.
From a light brown layered haircut, Joan was given an even lighter shade of blond. For her hairstyle, The Makeover Guy cut her layered locks so she can sport a pixie cut that absolutely suited the shape of her face. It was sophisticated, yet simple. It was a hairstyle that showed everyone the elegance that she felt inside.
Next up, her make-up. Her eyebrows did not need a lot of trimming or coloring. They were already pretty, but The Makeover Guy wanted her to have a bit more of definition on the eyebrow area so it was shaped to perfection with a light colored brow liner that matched her hair color.
Joan had a pale complexion so she was given a bit of color on her foundation. She looked more energetic and ready for the world with that amazing color on her cheeks. She looks so much younger!
Her eye make-up did not need to be very elaborate. Joan’s eyes already have an amazing light blue color so she they can be pretty even with less color on her lids. All she needed was a perfectly applied eyeliner and mascara, light shades of pink on her eyelids, for her to look even more gorgeous.
And don’t get me started on her lips! The Makeover Guy chose a shiny, light pink colored lipstick to match her skin tone. It was simple, but definitely fashionable. Wow!
Truly, Joan’s transformation made her look decades younger. And she could not believe the reflection she saw on the mirror after her makeover was all done.
She was emotional as she describes her feelings after discovering her new look.
“You made me feel pretty…As you age, I’ve always felt like I’ve become invisible. I want to feel like I have some value. I’m very grateful for this experience.”
