Sikelelwa Qwazi is a twenty-five-year-old singer and performer who goes by the name Siki Jo-An when she is on stage.
She has been singing for almost two decades, having started at the astoundingly young age of six.
Music has always been a part of her life and it has definitely always been her passion. No amount of time can change that.

A stellar performance
As the audience fell quiet and the lights went dim, she began to sing Jennifer Hudson’s ‘One Night Only.’
“You want all my love and my devotion
You want my love and soul, right on the line
I have no doubt that I could love you, forever
The only trouble is, you really don’t have the time.”
Her silky voice flowed over the words and overpowered the screams of an appreciative audience.
And then she found her power and the singing really kicked in. She hit every note, belting out the song with spirit as she shined on the stage. Even the silver of her dress caught the light to add emphasis to the performer with the near-heavenly voice.
That pitch-perfect and heart-felt inspired singing is something that has kept the calendar of this budding performer full. We’re happy that she was able to make room in it for an appearance on The Voice South Africa.

The reaction
There have already been more than a quarter of a million views of the viral YouTube video of her live performance, with nearly seven thousand likes.
The judges were in love.
They commended her on the performance as well as her singing career. They know how much she is capable of and were happy to finally get a chance to see it live on the stage.

Siki’s inspiration
The singer was raised by a single mother who worked every day in a restaurant to provide for her family. She inspired a need to succeed in Siki. She also gave her an amazing work ethic that has helped her singing career to bloom.
The competition has been an emotional roller coaster for Siki as she tries to make her mother proud.

She has been posting on Facebook throughout the season:
“Thank you so much for showing me love today. I really appreciate your votes.
I am going through the most today; emotionally, I am a mess. The thought of not making it to the next round lingers in my head as we said our goodbyes to some of the most talented artists who were part of the show. I am trying, by all means, to keep positive and to trust that you guys will never fail me.”
She has our vote.

We hope she does well on The Voice as well as in life. With the combination of her determination and talent, we know she will, regardless of any obstacle that may attempt to try to get in her way.
Nothing is going to stop this talented performer from reaching her goals.
