60 products on Amazon I would buy again and again
No regrets, there's something to love about every single one.

I love Amazon. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t. Not only does Amazon have basically anything we could ever want or need, but they also try to deliver these things as quickly as possible. Over the last 18 months, I’ve been particularly reliant on Amazon, as so many of us have. I’ve also done some extra stuff: started school, started a business, started a podcast. These projects have required tools and equipment, and of course, Amazon was my go-to for the things I needed. I’ve also been on the hunt for the *perfect* sunscreen for oily skin, and once again, I turned to Amazon. I found so many useful, helpful, and just plain cool things on Amazon, and I’m happy to share them with you! So without further ado, here are 60 things I purchased from Amazon that I’d absolutely buy again.

Thanks for reading about our favorite finds from across the internet! FYI: We participate in affiliate programs and may get a share of the revenue from your purchase.

A Tinted Moisturizer That Beauty Editors Love

Amazon

Wet ‘n Wild has had quite a renaissance over the last few years. Their products are awesome, and not even just for the price. This tinted moisturizer is no exception. It’s a light coverage product so don’t expect it to turn your face into a mask, but that’s kind of the appeal. It’s enough to reduce some of the redness in my skin, doesn’t feel heavy, and isn’t too radiant for my oily skin. It also stays put. Well done WnW.

A Book Light Every Bookworm Needs

Amazon

I love to read, especially before bed. My fiance and I are on very different schedules, so by the time I pick up my book he’s been asleep for hours. This presents a problem because reading books takes light, and light is incompatible for sleep. Solution: a book light. Specifically this book like, because it’s really cool. It’s rechargeable with a USB 2.0 port, it has multiple tones of light (warm, cool, neutral), and each light setting is dimmable. No matter where I am or how dim the ambient light is, I can still see my book.

A Tinted Sunscreen With a Cult Following

Amazon

I’ve been searching for a sunscreen that doesn’t make my oily skin even oilier, and this is it. The tint provides just enough coverage to make me look put together, it has a high enough SPF to be useful, it doesn’t leave a white cast, and most importantly, I don’t look or feel like a greasy mess at the end of the day. I will buy this sunscreen for as long as they make it.

A Portable Table For When I Want To Work From the Living Room

Amazon

I’ve worked from home for a very long time, and one of the keys to my productivity is changes of scenery. I’m lucky enough to have a home office, but sometimes I need to go work somewhere more comfortable. Having a small, portable table gives me the option of working from my sofa. This one is lightweight, folds down when I’m not using it, and even comes with a handy dandy cup holder. If black isn’t your aesthetic, you can also get it in white.

Silk Pillowcases That Will Save Your Hair and Skin

Amazon

I complained to my stylist/esthetician last summer that my hair was thinning and my skin didn’t seem to be responding to my skincare as well as it used to. Her solution? Silk pillowcases. These are fairly inexpensive, because it’s a pack of two, and they come in all of the colors and sizes I could possibly want. Since I started sleeping on them I’ve noticed that my hair is less ratty in the morning, meaning way less breakage when I brush it, and my nighttime skincare seems to be working its magic again. Definitely recommend.

A Sleep Mask That’s Also Headphones

Amazon

I live in an urban area, and that means light and noise when I’m trying to get my beauty sleep. I’ve been using a sleep mask for a few years, but when I found this mask that has built-in headphones I added it to my cart immediately. I find wearing earbuds while I’m sleeping really uncomfortable, but this mask allows me to listen to my sleep meditations in the pitch dark, just the way I like it.

Chain Extenders To Give Any Necklace a New Look

Amazon

I have a fat neck. It’s just my life. It’s always been really depressing that I can’t wear cute, dainty necklaces. Then I learned that necklace extenders are a thing, and my life was changed forever. These are sterling silver and the pack of three includes different sizes. They let me customize how long I want my necklaces and change them every time I wear them. I can also layer them. My accessory game is on point now.

The Mobile Shelf You Need For Your Tiny Apartment

Amazon

My kitchen is tiny, and I’ve been looking for a shelf or some kind of storage solution to take advantage of the little nooks and crannies in my old, Victorian house. This shelf is perfect for the little bit of space next to my stove, and the wheels make it easy to pull it out when I need something. The best part is that I didn’t have to build anything or permanently install anything in my kitchen.

A Standing Desk That Makes Working From Home More Comfortable

Amazon

I adore my standing desk. I didn’t want to get on board with this trend, but it’s really helped the aches and pains that arose from sitting at a desk all day. If I get tired, I can just lower the desk and have a seat. I hate that it’s so trendy, but man is it awesome.

A Selfie Stick That Doubles As a Tripod

Amazon

I’m a podcaster, writer, consultant, etc. That means I need to be present on social media and in photos way more than I’d like, sometimes even in the photos. Whether I need to take a photo of myself from a deceptive angle or just need a tripod, this combo stick is exactly what I need. I don’t even feel that weird when I use it.

Noise-Canceling Bluetooth Headphones That Block All Of The Sounds

Amazon

My house is loud. Between the traffic and trains outside and my pet birds inside, silence is difficult to come by. Sometimes I want to listen to a podcast and not know what else is happening around me. These headphones are excellent at filtering out ambient noise, and there are multiple modes for different types of noise. They’re comfortable to wear for long periods of time, so my ears don’t need breaks, and the battery life is insanely good. It’s also possible to use these as wired headphones instead of Bluetooth, so if you forget to charge them you’re not out of luck. I love them so much.

A Ring Doorbell, Because It’s Good To Know What’s Happening When You’re Not Home

Amazon

I’m honestly not a fan of doorbell surveillance. I was committed to not having any kind of video camera on the outside of my house, but then someone broke into our shed. Our packages kept getting stolen. We’d frequently hear screaming in the street. At that point, I decided it was time to get a Ring. I’ve found that I appreciate the peace of mind of having any outdoor disturbances recorded.

A Mug Warmer With Safety Features

Amazon

Working from home requires a lot of coffee, but room temperature coffee is terrible. I bought a simple mug warmer, a ceramic plate with a heating element and an on/off switch. It was fine, but it got really hot and burned my coffee. I also forgot to turn it off once, and that scared me, so I started looking for an alternative. This mug warmer allows me to choose the temperature, and it has an automatic shutoff if I haven’t moved my mug in a few hours. It also turns itself off when I take the mug off the plate for more than a few seconds.

Empty Tea Bags for Loose Tea Lovers

Amazon

I love tea, specifically loose tea. I hate cleaning tea infusers. This was a dilemma until I found these biodegradable, compostable, paper tea bags. I can fill them with whatever loose tea I feel like drinking, steep my tea, and not feel like a monster for making more waste.

A Microphone Made for Podcasters and Streamers

Amazon

I thought about starting my podcast for a long time, but one of the things that held me back was the microphone. There’s so much conflicting information about the type of mic, and how much I’d have to spend for a decent one. I took a chance on this microphone and couldn’t be happier. It’s lightweight but sturdy, and I sound amazing. There’s even free recording software available from the manufacturer, so you can start your podcast right away. It’s not a cheap mic, but it’s worth it.

An Amazing Moisturizer With An Interesting Ingredient

Amazon

There’s snail mucin in this moisturizer. Still with me? It is *amazing*, full stop. It’s lightweight and doesn’t make me feel greasy, and it makes my skin look healthy and hydrated. Even in the winter it’s awesome – my skin gets angry and starts to flake in a few places, and this is the only thing that keeps that crusty stuff at bay. Snail extract is common in Asian skincare, and the rest of us should get on board.

Blackout curtains To Keep Light Out and Heat In

Amazon

I live in the frozen tundra that is upstate New York. Immediately after Labor Day residents of the Great White North start channeling Ned Stark – “Winter is coming.” Blackout curtains are an absolute necessity for New York winters, as they help block drafts and save on heating costs. I’m also a fan of them for light blocking purposes, but if you’re looking for something a little less dungeon-esque, check these out. The star cutouts are so cute, and they come in multiple colors to match your decor. I’ll spend a little more for heat to have twinkly star curtains.

The Hair Product That’s Gone Viral

Amazon

If you haven’t heard of L’Oreal’s Wonder Water, you don’t spend enough time on the internet. It was everywhere, from TikTok influencers to YouTube to the Today Show, and the reviews were overwhelmingly positive, with 4.4 out of 5 stars on Amazon with almost 23,000 reviews. One recent reviewer said it best – “L’Oreal Paris Elvive, is a fantastic buy. I am 72 with thinning white hair to which I gave a murder-home-perm six weeks ago, and this stuff actually calmed my hair down to something I don’t have to fear when I look in the mirror. I don’t know how it works, but it fluffs up my hair so it doesn’t look so thin, and it also calms down the permed parts that didn’t work out so well. I recommend it highly for troubled hair!”

Soothing Eye Gels To Prepare For Seeing Other Humans Again

Amazon

I love a good eye gel patch thing. They moisturize, depuff, and soothe the delicate skin around my eyes. They make me look 10 years younger, and I’m not mad at that. These are particularly lovely with the added benefit of green tea and caffeine. Pro tip: keep them in the fridge for extra depuffing power.

An Extra Large Brita Pitcher To Make Sure You Stay Hydrated

Amazon

I don’t know about you, but the water that comes out of my tap tastes… well, gross. I drink a lot of water during the day, so my options are to buy bottled water, increasing my consumption of single-use plastics, which isn’t great, or I could get some kind of filtration. I chose this giant Brita because of its large capacity. My fiance and I can both have fresh delicious water on demand, and we only have to fill the thing a couple of times a week. Everyone wins.

Childish Magnetic Poetry For Grown-Ups

Amazon

Sometimes I’m extremely immature and still get a giggle out of obscenities. I particularly enjoy creative combinations of obscenities, which is why I really love this magnetic poetry set. It has all of the taboo four-letter words you’d expect, plus a few that might surprise you. Put it on your fridge, and the next time you have a bad day, it’ll be there for you to create brilliant and vulgar poetry.

A Pregnancy Book For The Mom-To-Be With A Sense Of Humor

Amazon

I don’t have children and I’ve never been pregnant, but I absolutely love this book. It describes the pregnancy process from the perspective of the fetus. It’s purely for entertainment purposes, of course, but it’s now one of the standard-issue gifts I bring to baby showers for my friends and family. Being a parent is difficult, and I like to provide a little humor where I can.

A Glass Teapot Worthy Of The Queen

Amazon

My love of tea has been well documented in this list, but this teapot might be my favorite tea accessory. First and foremost, it’s really pretty. It has classic lines that make me think of a bygone era when people stopped what they were doing in the afternoon to have a cup of tea and a scone. It has a special infuser that’s easy(ish) to clean, and it keeps the tea hot for a surprisingly long time. It’s even safe for the stove, in case you want to boil the water the old-fashioned way.

Another Hydration Tool Because Water Is Important

Amazon

I like water, and I like it to stay cold when I’m drinking it. I also don’t want to get up to get a glass of water every two minutes, since my office and my refrigerator are on opposite sides of my house. The solution? A giant water bottle that keeps my water cold for up to 12 hours. This thing comes just about everywhere with me. The only drawback of this bottle is that it doesn’t fit in my car’s cupholder. Bummer.

A Book That Illustrates The Beauty Of Cemeteries

Amazon

I don’t normally go for coffee table books, but hear me out – some of the cemeteries in this book were designed by legendary landscape architects, like the man who designed Central Park and the 1893 World’s Fairgrounds in Chicago. These cemeteries are also full of gorgeous sculptures and art and history. The Victorians liked cemeteries so much that they used to treat them like parks, having picnics and going for strolls among the headstones. Maybe we should bring this trend back.

A Basic Bag That’s Anything But

Amazon

I don’t actually remember why I bought this bag. I needed a new purse and wanted it to be green, but I didn’t put a lot of effort into buying one. Man, I lucked out. This purse is so tough, made of lightweight nylon so it’s easy to clean. The strap is long and adjusts easily so it can be a shoulder bag or a cross-body bag, and it comes in a bunch of fun colors. Most importantly, it holds so. Much. Stuff. In the Before Times, this was my go-to travel bag, and it was usually the only carry-on I took with me. It fit my laptop, my iPad, a change of clothes, my toothbrush, and a notebook. What else could I possibly need?

Extra Storage and Ergonomics, Oh My!

Amazon

During lockdown, I turned my laptop into a desktop setup with an external monitor, but it wasn’t comfortable. I felt like I was too close to the monitor and I was hunching to see it. This riser was pricey, but it was worth every penny. It required a little assembly, but it’s well constructed from bamboo. It’s heavy, so I know it’s not going to cave under the weight of my monitor. There’s also a TON of storage. The compartments are adjustable, and mine are filled with skincare, brushes, and random office supplies.

Pen Cups Aren’t Strictly For Pens, Right?

Amazon

I hate washing makeup brushes. It’s the worst chore, and I have a bad habit of just buying new ones when I run out of clean brushes. That means I need a place to store them all. Enter these pen cups. They’ve been repurposed to hold brushes and some eyeliners, and they work great! They’re sturdy and tall enough that I don’t feel like they’re top-heavy or going to fall over. They’re also affordable and come in a set of four, so you may even have space for pens.

An Essential Oil Diffuser To Help You Be More Zen

Amazon

After 18 months of a worldwide pandemic, wellness has become quite a hot topic. There’s lots of talk about breathing and stretching, but for me, aromatherapy is the way to go. I looked at a lot of diffusers before buying this one. I was looking for something compact, low-maintenance, and aesthetically pleasing. Check, check, and check. It has a smaller footprint than many of the other diffusers I looked at, and I don’t know if the Himalayan salt has an effect, but it looks pretty. The lights are nice too. The reservoir is big enough to run for a few hours, so I get calming eucalyptus vapors.

Stainless Steel Wine Tumblers For Those Rugged Glamping Trips

Amazon

I know that headline sounds like I’m being sarcastic, but I’m not. I literally bought these wine tumblers for a “camping” trip. We were in the woods near a river… but there was also a large house with running water, electricity, and WiFi, so we weren’t exactly roughing it. I thought the wood pattern was cute, and I appreciate that these came with lids, stainless steel straws, a cleaning brush, and those little silicone things that make drinking out of stainless steel less terrible. They also keep drinks cold for hours. Not that wine sits in the tumbler that long.

A Multi-Function Power Bank For People Who Love Outside

Amazon

I’m an indoor girl, but my fiance loves Outside. Sometimes he goes to Outside places where there’s no power, and his phone dies, and that’s annoying, so I got him this power bank. The power capacity is huge so he can charge his phone multiple times, or even charge some of his larger devices. When it runs out of juice he just puts it in the sun, and BAM! More juice. This can also charge your device wirelessly, and there’s a flash light. It’s the Outside person’s dream.

If The Loch Ness Monster Made Your Tea

Amazon

I like scary things. Being creepy is part of my brand, and that creepiness includes cryptids like the Loch Ness Monster. I particularly love when scary monsters are portrayed as cute and cuddly, and even better when they’re useful things, which is why I love these tea infusers. They’re made of silicone so they’re easy to clean, though snapping it back together after filling it with tea is a little bit annoying. Worth it though, because they’re so cute!

A Basic Hoodie That’s Perfect for Fall

Amazon

Who doesn’t love a nice hoodie? Amazon Essentials makes some surprisingly good stuff, and this is one of those items. When I bought it I was expecting a thin, poorly made sweatshirt that fell apart after three washes. I was so wrong. This is so soft and cozy and is surprisingly well made. It feels like good quality and comes in so many colors and a fairly inclusive array of sizes. For under $20 it’s a good bet.

A Keyboard You can Take Anywhere

Amazon

I’m a writer and I go places, so it’s inevitable that sometimes I’m not near my computer when I have an idea. Sometimes I just write it down like a normal human, but sometimes my idea is a long one and I really wish I had a way to type it. Or I’m killing time somewhere and might as well write something, but I didn’t bring my laptop. So I got myself a little, foldable Bluetooth keyboard. It connects to my phone or iPad and I type away. It’s small, but so are my hands, and it’s better than dragging my beast of laptop everywhere.

Ergonomics On The Go

Amazon

Another Amazon Essentials item, and it’s just as good as the hoodie. This laptop stand is lightweight and well-made, and it fits perfectly in my laptop bag. Velvet Scrunchies, for Some Throwback Glamour

Amazon

I really missed scrunchies while they were out of style. They’re so much cuter than hair bands, and they rip out a lot less hair. I tie my hair back when I’m sleeping so I don’t accidentally choke my partner with it, and these velvet scrunchies excel in this capacity. And did I mention that they’re cute? Because they are.

A Tumbler That Helps You Look Good While You Hydrate

Amazon

I know that there are multiple water delivery products on this list, but I’m not mad about it. The Amazon listing for this tumbler claims that everything tastes better in glass, and I think they might be right. This one is particularly good because the silicone sleeve doubles as a coaster, and even my clumsy self can hang on to it. It’s also a really good shape, so it’s not top-heavy and isn’t knocked over easily. Love it. 12/10 definitely recommend.

It brings me joy every time I look at it and makes my work that much more enjoyable.

A Container That Allows Easy Access To A Gift From The Gods – Coffee

Amazon

Stale coffee sucks, and it might be my imagination, but I feel like it gets stale pretty quickly. I also don’t like having to scoop coffee out of a bag. It’s annoying. So this container is perfect for me. It keeps my coffee fresh for weeks (if it ever lasts that long), and it comes with a handy dandy scoop that fits right in the lid. It’s easy to store and I can stack stuff on top of it. After using it for a few weeks I bought a second one, because who wants the same kind of coffee every day?

The King of Blenders

Amazon

I put off getting a Ninja blender for years, and I kick myself for it. It’s so, so good. I love making smoothies and my old blender couldn’t handle it. I’d have to babysit it and stir it and the whole process was just a nightmare. I bought this whole kit with a large blender carafe, a food processor, and my favorite part, the individual smoothie cups. Making smoothies in these cups is a breeze. I put the stuff in the cup, attach the blade, and blend. Two minutes and I have a delicious smoothie.

Travel Bottles For The After Times

Amazon

Some day we’ll all be traveling again, and when that happens I want to be prepared. I take a lot of liquids with me when I travel, and most of them come in inconvenient sizes or treacherous glass bottles, so I bought these refillable bottles. They have airless pumps, which I find more convenient than squeeze bottles, and they feel well made even though they’re relatively inexpensive. I haven’t had a chance to put them to the test, but I’m confident I’ll be pleased.

A Shower Caddy For People Who Love Bath Products

Amazon

It’s me. I’m the one who loves bath products. The number of shampoos and body washes currently in my shower borders on the ridiculous, but this shower caddy has completely solved the issue of not having enough shelf space. It’s wide enough and sturdy enough to hold large liter bottles of shampoo and conditioner, plus multiple body washes, face cleansers, and whatever else I feel is necessary. The hooks are handy for my loofah and konjac sponge. The best part? It’s never fallen down.

I hate the word dongle, but this one is awesome. It has four USB-A ports so I can plug in all of the peripherals I need, like my microphone, webcam, mouse, and keyboard. It also has an HDMI port for my external monitor, a USB-C port, SD and micro SD slots, and it even has an ethernet port. I can’t remember the last time I used ethernet, but I love that it’s there. I’ve used a few other dongles with my MacBook Pro, but this one is the best by far.

The new Kindle Paperwhites are here, and they look glorious. Nothing beats turning pages in an actual, physical book, but books are heavy. When I want to leave the house and read something, it’s Kindle all the way. The new generation has more storage, a bigger screen, a new interface, USB-C charging, and (supposedly) faster page turns. It took up a lot of space that I needed for important things, like makeup. I found this stand and it’s perfect. It’s not Apple-specific so I’ll be able to use it if I ever switch ecosystems, and it fits multiple laptop sizes. It’s excellent.

Replace Your Kitchen Sponge With A Silicone Scrubber

Kitchen sponges are objectively gross. They breed germs and bacteria, and they start to stink really quickly. Even a trip through the dishwasher only does so much, which is why I use these silicone scrubbers. They’re gentle but still scrubby enough to tackle the crustiest dishes, and they’re easy to clean. Oh, and they don’t ever stink. Superior to sponges in every way.

Thinking about it makes me want to go make one.

I love pasta. I don’t love trying to balance a colander in my sink while I pour boiling water and scalding hot pasta into it. I’m clumsy so sometimes this goes badly. I found this strainer on a kitchen blog and knew I needed it in my life. It fits every pot in my kitchen and the clips are surprisingly sturdy. I’ve used it many times in the year that I’ve had it, and it’s never fallen off. It’s definitely in my top five favorite kitchen things.

An Absolute Necessity For Seltzer Lovers

Amazon

I know, I know, it’s another beverage-related product, but my Sodastream is my number one kitchen appliance. I love seltzer. Whether you call it angry water, spicy water, or my personal favorite, fancy water, it’s delicious, but buying it creates a ton of waste. Whether you’re buying it in cans or plastic bottles, you’re still creating more trash than necessary. I like my seltzer plain, but Sodastream makes all kinds of flavor drops. You can infuse fruit, make cocktails, the possibilities are endless.
