What an action shot!

Did you know squirrels could look shocked?

It’s almost like you can hear him say “oh no” in slo-mo as that peanut gets away.

This photo was taken at just the right angle to make it look like the ant on the cup and the helicopter far away are the same size.

And it looks like they’re about to go head-to-head!

Or did someone really make a tiny helicopter?

It’s not an eclipse, but it is a perfect shot of a perfect shot.

The photographer caught this basketball the moment it was in line with the sun.

This is a moment you can stare at safely!

That piece of street art has probably seen more aspiring Instagram influencers than we can imagine.

But somehow a random shot of an unaware person walking past it is even better.

Maybe there are angels among us.

Do you think this was staged? Did they show it to the subject afterward? We’d love to know.

It looks like this guy came to work with a pretty daring outfit on (but is also aching to go home and change it).

This bird seems to know it was getting its photo taken and is posing for the occassion.

But in doing so the reflection is just right to make it look like it’s the one holding the phone.

It hardly looks real, but we love it!

It looks like Amazon’s new drone system is modeled on nature.

Or there’s a giant bee on the sun. We’re not sure which of those scenarios in creepier.

No, mom is not being visited by a demon, thank goodness.

She just happens to be shaking out a blanket. But the timing of this photo was so good that it’s playing tricks with our eyes.

This is definitely a pic you can’t plan for!

Is the toilet being beamed down from space? Or do you think the next person who sits upon it will be king (or queen)?

Actually, we’re not going to wait around to find out.

That page-turner is a real head-turner!

While she’s wrapped up in her book, someone got a startle when they realized Aragorn was the one staring back at them.

Sun and sand combine for all sorts of optical illusions.

This one makes it look like the speech is being delivered from a magic carpet hovering over the beach.

Or maybe they finally invented those hover-crafts.

It’s time to pull the cord and turn off the moon in time for sunrise.

Actually, we’re glad it’s not that easy.

But this is one very cool shot!

This dandelion looks like it has superpowers that it will bestow on anyone who picks it.

We imagine someone had to get pretty far down in the grass to snap this photo.

You really have to get a good look at his photo before it stops giving you the creeps.

This kiddo looks a little old to be carried – until you see that it isn’t his face you’re looking at.

Well that’s quite a trick!

How much extra do you have to pay for your chef to summon a fire dragon for you? And it that on the menu or do you have to request it in advance?

Why?!

I mean, that had to be painted to make it look like the host/hostess had a horse’s body.

It’s a level of kitsch that wouldn’t make us eager to have a dining experience there.

It looks like someone shed their antlers early because they were too big but can’t bear to pose for a photo without looking like the alpha.

Or a deer just turned it’s head at the right time.

Your guess is as good as ours.

Now that’s a figure skating event we’d set our alarms for.

It looks like this male skater has some fine legs.

And while we’re sure he does, those happen to belong to his partner, whose whole body appears to be on his left side.

Look at him go!

Whizzing through the air, looking like a little fuzzy superhero, this mouse is basically a celebrity for starring in this photo.

And we wouldn’t be surprised if this one actually won an award.

No treble? Wait, we see it right there!

No doubt our ear buds have all fallen in a similar way, but this time it happened to catch they eye of a music lover with their phone handy.

This dragonfly looks like it wanted to make a friend.

Unfortunately, it’s about to be disappointed by the lack of reaction it receives.

Will it think its fellow creature just isn’t in the mood to…do whatever it is dragonflies do?

Well that’s slightly disturbing – but mostly hilarious.

It looks intentional, but you still have to find the perfect moment to snap the shot.

It looks like Godzilla has finally reached the suburbs.

It’s almost too perfect though – do you think there’s any Photoshop involved?

We can’t decide whether or not this is a brilliant hiding spot.

On the one hand, the cat’s tail is perfectly in line with the painting. Alas, frames don’t have tails.

We love this. The train must have been stopped just long enough for someone to notice this and get out their phone.

And the subject is none the wiser.

But the real question is whether or not you show it to him after you nail the shot.

We think that crane is going to have a heck of a time lifting the Eiffel Tower.

So it’s a good thing that it’s actually miles away.

Whoa, that’s a big woman!

Actually, if you look closely, you can see that she’s standing on the top of a short staircase, the top ledge of which you can just barely see.

But did they know the photo was going to turn out that way? That’s what we’re curious about.

That’s one interesting pose for a dog. And it looks like he shaved his legs for his beach day as well.

He seems to know just how good he looks in this photo too.

Well this really creeped us out.

It looks a bit bony to be dinner.

We love the look on this pup’s face, but we still can’t figure out what’s going on in this photo to make its neck look so long.

Seriously, we’re stumped!

Is his torso on backwards? Is the ball behind him or in front of him? And what does that even mean if his body is pointed in two different directions?

It’s hard to watch soccer in The Matrix.

Half of this creature is going to be disappointed when it finds out the snacks are carrots.

It’s a pretty good optical illusion though.

You can’t unsee it.

And it’s uncanny.

We’re pretty sure we’d keep walking by the t-shirts if we thought they were watching us.

Who needs arms and legs when you can fly?

This fluffy pup’s limbs are all tucked in tight and it’s floppy fur is covering them up, making it look like he’s being shot right through those rings.

This woman looks pretty unfazed considering it looks like she’s on fire.

But there’s no self-immolation going on here. Just some fancy fire work and good timing with the camera to make her face look rimmed in flames.

Is this giant cat taking its human for a walk?

Or is this man just the owner of a human-sized cat?

Well, neither, but we’re sure the cat’s personality matches the optical illusion.

See, now that’s great timing!

And it looks like whoever is blowing bubbles is far enough away from the man that he isn’t even aware that he’s the subject of a very cool photo.

Like most birds, falcons have incredibly flexible necks.

So have no fear, he’s just turned around and back and not missing his head!

This pitcher looks like he’s about to throw his entire body out of alignment. But thanks to the magic of slo-mo, we can now see just what kind of bodily mechanics are involved in pitching these days.

Now it’s not surprising to see shoulder and elbow injuries!

It’s not what you think – there’s no water polluted enough to make a fish grow an arm.

We just want to know what this diver is reaching for.

And how long the photographer sat there to get a shot!

Ok, maybe the prices do, but when you’ve been making pizza for decades and become a NYC institution, you get to charge whatever you want.

It’s pretty clear that his methods have been the same for a long time if the painting on the wall is any indication.

Freaky!

This kitty had perfect timing.

Then again, we bet that’s something it does often. Mom had the selfie camera ready on her computer for the next time it happened.

Maybe this is a photo from a fairy tale where the groom is cursed to become an owl the moment he says “I do.”

Or maybe an owl just flew by a wedding and the photographer caught the perfect shot.

We’d like to think it’s the former.

We love this shot of a firefighter from Spain looking like he’s about to take flight to head off and help the next person.

We’re not sure who snapped the shot, but we hope he got a copy!

Well, that would startle us!
