There is a potential solution to every problem that we face. The solution might not be pretty or perfect, but if it is a valuable solution it might be worth it. Many of the imperfect solutions might not be permanent but an answer to the problem until a better answer comes along. Here are 47 people that tried their best to fix their current problem. Some are ingenious while others are a bit nerve-wracking. Number 24 is my favorite, which will be your favorite?
1. Tape it Up
A cement column is starting to crack, which should worry everyone in this structure. Instead someone decided that taping it up will fix the problem. It is unclear how much the tape is actually helping but it was the only remedy they have during the time period. It is just going to have to work.
2. Red Means Stop
It is a universal sign that red means stop. Therefore, this worker did not mind having to use a table tennis racket to control traffic. He knew that the sign did not have to read stop, for cars to stop at his sign. It seems to be working, so smart thinking!
3. Any Mirror Will Work
The best part of a mirror is its functionality. When a person needs a mirror, it does not matter what type of mirror. When this individual needed to replace his passenger side mirror, he knew any mirror would work and he was right. It might not match but it still works.
One boyfriend did not have any flowers at hand for his girlfriend, so he made his own bouquet. He believes this cable bouquet is best seen as tulips. If his girlfriend is a techie or gamer, this bouquet will not disappoint. It is a bouquet with the possibility of much power after all.
5. Hat Full
Train rides can be very long, so technology is a life saver in passing the time. The only problem is that it can be annoying to have to hold your phone throughout the entire train ride. This gentleman had the perfect solution, carry your phone in your hat. All you have to do is hang your hat from the seat in front of you. This will give you the perfect view of your phone.
6. Work Days
When you work from home, your office can be any place of your choosing. That is unless where you want is not realistic because of weather condition, such as heat. Heat has never been friendly to technology. Well, here is one person’s solution that could be a life hack for many. She puts her laptop in a sideways cooler that has ice packs to keep her laptop from heating. It also provides the necessary shade to fight against the glare on its screen, ingenious.
7. Smart Cars
If it fits, is it okay? Finding a parking spot just got a lot easier for Smart Car and/or Fiat drivers, that is if they are willing to take the risk of its legality. Smart Cars are parked like this throughout the entire city and people do say “when in Rome”
8. Snow Days
Heavy snow is not going to stop this car from driving. When you happen to live in Moscow there are going to be plenty days of heavy snow. So, many have installed their own mini snow plow. If the roads cannot get cleared fast enough, they will just plow the streets themselves.
9. Toot Your Own Horn
When your car horn breaks, just bring your own. That is what this driver did and he had no shame in “honking” his own horn at any other driver. He might have major road rage and needed the outlet, but by the look of his smirk he might just be having too much fun.
10. Backpack Hack
Students all know the struggle of pulling the correct book or notebook out of your backpack on the first try. Instead of playing the continual guessing game all you have to do is write the subject on the top of the notebook. This is a quick way to grab the correct subject notebook. This student probably has straight a’s.
11. One Trip
We all hope to bring the groceries into the house in only one trip. We will over carry a massive amount of grocery bags that weigh what feels like a million pounds just to complete it once. One solution to help in the struggle of over carrying is to slip the handle of large items, such as laundry detergent, through the handles of the grocery bags. This will give your hands more space to hold other bags. Good luck!
12. It’s Not Broken
This clock broke in appearance but it did not break in its functionality. This must have been the reasoning behind in keeping it and just recreating the broken numbers. If it works, no reason to spend money on a new one. At least they tried to make it look presentable.
13. Iron Man
This is the best example of trying to find the best in a bad situation. When his phone screen cracked, instead of complaining he tried to see the best. So, he put Iron Man as the screensaver and made the cracks look like Iron Man’s strength. If you have to use a cracked phone screen, mind as well make it humorous.
14. Long Enough?
This bus passenger needed to charge his phone during the ride but their was one small problem, his cord was too short. His solution? Let his phone charge and just let it sit in his hat. If the cord could not reach his hands or lap, it would still get charged. When a phone needs charged, people will find unique ways to get their phone charged ASAP.
15. Man’s Best Friend
Dogs are known as man’s best friend for a reason. Dogs just want to hang out with and love their human companion. This was used to the advantage of this skater who needed to video his performance, he put the camera on his dog. The dog did what every dog would do, he followed his human through the entire skate and this provided great footage.
16. Two Cars in One
This car is either slowly getting upgraded or in the need of a quick and cheap fix. It is unclear which way this car is going but, hey, it still works and that is all that matters. Let’s hope the car is slowly getting upgraded and keeps changing with every new paycheck.
17. Mop it Down
After a long day, chores can be the last thing you want to do. This soldier found a quick way to get the mopping done. There is no need to walk when you can chill on a hover board. This will also make one go faster with the mop down the hallways, smart thinking.
18. Making Shade
This beach lounge did not provide shade for his entire body, so he made his own shade. All he had to do was tie a blanket to the top of the chair and tie the bottom on his feet and voilà, instant body shade. He even has his own personal space within his new shade to read, sleep or relax comfortably.
19. Need a Crutch?
Their leg might have been healed but their air conditioning needed a crutch. It was perfect time to transfer the crutches from the human to the AC. As one person joked,
“That AC is on its last legs.”
20. Hanging Bananas
Bananas have been taking up space on everyone’s counters for way too long. While you can spend money on purchasing a decor item that will hang bananas, most people do not have the money for an item such as that. Instead all you need is a 3M hook and you will be able to hang the bananas yourself. It is as easy as 1,2,3.
21. Key Hack
Most new cars have created keyless entry, but what happens when your car key battery dies and you cannot get into your own car? It seems that many cars still have a secret key hole in their car handles still. This will be friendly to remember if you ever find your car key battery dead and you need to get in your car ASAP.
22. Late Night Munchies
This hack is perfect for the lazy and have some cookies and milk cravings. Pile all the cookies into its own sleeve and use the empty one as a milk sleeve. There is no reason to use a glass and create more dirty dishes when you can just add your milk to the cookie container.
23. Walk on Water
This man refuses to believe that there isn’t anything he can do and that includes walking on water. It might take him a very long time to cross the pond but no one can ever tell him he cannot walk on water, he just needed a bit of help. My biggest question is not about his water walking contraption, but rather who is the person in all latex on the other side of the pond?

Instead of asking his girlfriend what she meant, he just guessed. His guess might have not been what she meant but it was the easiest answer that he could assume she meant and it provided his girlfriend a great laugh. This is one sweet boyfriend and she probably appreciated the effort.
25. Capo Substitute
He was playing on his guitar when he found himself in need of a guitar capo, but did not have one on hand. Instead of giving up and playing without one, he created his own version of a capo. Hey, it worked and he was able to keep playing and that is all that matters.
26. Tie It Up
If it was not snowing, when was the last time you used the strings in your hoodie to actually pull your hoodie in closer? I personally cannot remember. This man found a new use for the strings, a personal cell phone holder. He gets to watch his phone on the subway hands free.
27. Annoying Neighbors
Instead of confronting their neighbors about their noise level, these neighbors created an entire invention to seek their revenge. This invention is passive aggressiveness at its finest. While this might have given them temporary joy, it might have also started a war in the making.
28. Dad Fix
Dad’s will do about anything to help their children’s problems. This child’s headphones broke and the dad could not figure out an easy way to put them back together. That did not stop him from fixing the headphones though. He just had a more “dad” way of fixing them. Those will not be breaking anytime soon.
29. Turning One?
They might have forgotten the cake and the birthday candles but that stopped no one from celebrating an office birthday. They just had to improvise a bit with a lighter and a donut. Donuts are delicious and the presentation was hilarious, so I bet the birthday girl did not mind at all.
30. Wine in Bed
Who needs a night stand anymore? This couple sure does not. All they needed was a few books to prop between their mattress and it is an instant wine glass counter. A great piece of advice is a thin book for empty wine glasses but heavier books should be used for full wine glasses.
31. Freezer Cold Bread
Instead of tucking the end of the bread bag together, this person tucked it into the freezer door. He believes it is a life hack that helps keep his bread fresh but others disagree. Where do you stand in the freezer door bread controversy?
32. Light It Up
It is illegal to drive a car with a headlight not working, but what do you need when you have to drive and cannot afford a new light? This family created their own headlight by replacing it with a handful of flashlights. This must have been the perfect amount of flashlights to imitate the same brightness as a headlight.
33. Fire Extinguisher
The first extinguisher cannot be found, but one helpful person replaced it with, their idea, of the next best thing, water. Everyone in that building must only need to let out small fires or this water bottle is definitely not going to be enough. It would be hard to pass by this sight and not let out a small chuckle though, very clever.
He must not have been able to pass this level in his game for a long time because he is making sure to be very precise this time. There is no more “fun and games” it is all about “seriousness and winning.” If he loses this time, it is all on him and his own math skills.
35. Solo Power
He is taking no chances in not being able to charge his technology, he is bringing the solar power with him. He is so serious about his solar power, he is making into a fashion statement as well. Would you buy a solar power hat?
Laptop are meant to be portable, but it is unclear if their portable use was for this. He was not going to have to cook without his music and this was the smallest version he had. It looks mighty uncomfortable but when you are desperate you might do about anything, like keep a laptop in your pants.
37. Keyboard Hangars
This individual had a lot of old keyboards but was running out of hangars. If you thought those two facts would not intertwine, you would be incorrect. This crafty individual made her own keyboard hangars. Who knew that it would actually work?
38. Speaking of Keyboards…
One life hack in creating larger Ziplocs is by combining two into one large Ziploc. How you might ask?
“You can connect two ziplock bags by flipping one inside out to make a larger one,” a Reddit user explains with a keyboard as an example.
39. Baby Bumper Cars
Baby walkers can be literal walking nightmares. If you have ever had your feet rolled over by one you already agree with me. They also are terror for the walls in a house as they can bump super hard into walls. In order to save all feet and walls in a baby’s line of sight, add cut up pool noodles to the bottom of the walker and all those problems will go away.
40. Open the Door
As long as the door can open who cares what the handle is made of? That is what this family’s motto is and it is quite accurate. This car is using a fork as a replacement handle and it actually works. They stuck a fork in it and they were done.
