Most of the world has been on quarantine and staying at home for a quarter of a year has definitely made a lot of people miss going out and dining at restaurants with family and friends. It is always fun to enjoy good food while catching up with each other’s lives, releasing some stress, and just plain relaxing with the people you love to be with. Actually, staying at home is not bad as well, if you have really great food to eat with everyone in the house.

However, there are moments wherein the food served, whether on restaurants or via delivery, fail in such an epic level that you loose the mood to pig out altogether. We’re talking about these cringe-worthy food order fiascos that will surely get you to facepalm yourself in no time. They are absolutely disasters!

1. Cheesy onion rings

Who doesn’t want onion rings? They are delicious especially when filled with cheese! It’s just too bad this Nairobi restaurant did not know that they had to cook the onion and cheese to make the dish their customers were looking for.

2. Did they get any discount?

Uhm, aren’t burgers supposed to have patties and the rest of the fillings in them? These buns were served with only ketchup in between and we’re wondering if the customer received a discount for this order.

3. Cheese cakes instead of cheese sticks?

Someone ordered cheese sticks to come with their pizza, and yet the restaurant ended up delivering cheese cakes instead. Where did they even get that many cheese cakes?

4. Extra pickles, please!

Some people love to have extra pickles in their sandwich and that’s fine, they can just ask the server and they will be more than glad to give them what they want. However, this sandwich right here has way beyond just an “extra” serving of pickles.

5. Is this new in the menu?

Are we seeing a new addition to McDonald’s menu? As far as we know, there are no ice cream sandwiches in their list of food offered, but then again this unusual burger makes us want to think something new is about to come…or not?

6. Secret recipe revealed?

Taco Bell has their own recipe but of course, that’s their secret. And a slab of carton is not supposed to be a part of that secret recipe, right? But here we are, looking at something we thought is not possible.

7. Did they hear it right?

Someone ordered an affogato, which is basically ice cream with espresso. What was served technically had that, but we can’t help but think that they might have heard the order wrongly or they simply wanted to add an avocado because it rhymes?

8. “Barely there” bacon

Of course, you can request for extra bacon in your food. And if you are nice enough, they will give you more and not some “barely there” bacon such as what this person received.

9. It’s technically correct, though.

This person ordered scrambled egg and wanted some cheese added. What he actually meant was to mix the cheese in the egg, but this is what he got instead. The order is technically correct, but who eats their eggs and cheese this way, right?

10. Too much mayo

Mayo makes a sandwich even more sumptuous. But too much of it can be quite disgusting, if you’d ask me.

11. Lone pepperoni

Imagine being a meat-lover and excitedly waiting for your pepperoni pizza to arrive just to be greeted by this lonesome pepperoni on top of the dough. What a heartbreaking moment that would be.

12. At least, they are neatly placed

The last time I remember, salt and pepper shakers are supposed to contain the actual condiments, not packets of them. Well, at least they are neatly placed on top of the tables right?

12. Too much is never a good thing

They say too much of anything is never a good thing. This might be a meat-lover’s dream come true, but it totally looks uninviting if it’s this much.

14. This is fruit salad

In Marrakesh, someone’s friend ordered a fruit salad. You can never go wrong with a fruit salad, right? It’s just a bunch of fresh fruits tossed together. Sadly, the restaurant they went to did not know that fruits should be peeled and cut first before serving them as a salad.

This guy requested extra frosting on his food. This is what he got and now, we can’t even see what’s underneath all that white goo.

16. Coffee with whipped cream

A guy went to Germany and ordered coffee with whipped cream. He did get what he wanted, but they were separately served instead of together in a cup with the cream on top. That’s a lot of cream though, so I guess he can’t get mad with the server after all.

17. This otherworldly milk shake

Who drinks a milkshake from a plastic tub? Apparently, one restaurant thinks this isnormal because this is how they serve their milkshake.

18. An extra cup for the kid, please!

A mom ordered a coke and asked an extra cup for her kids. All’s good, until she saw that the extra cup was inside the bigger cup of coke. Well, at least the extra cup is kiddie-sized.

Can you really call a burger a “cheeseburger” if it only has a thin strip of cheese in it? I guess not.

20. This weird chicken burger with the mayo on top of the bun

As far as I know, mayo has always been between the burger buns, not on top. This one absolutely beats the norm and we hope it doesn’t hap[pen again.

21. A “cup-full” of candy

This is exactly the reason why some people are having trust issues. Why would anybody even make others believe that the cup is full when it isn’t?

I got to admit, my first response whenever they ask what I want to eat is “I don’t know”, just like this woman. Her boyfriend totally nailed the joke!

24. Maybe they need more description

Someone ordered frites with an anchovy dressing. After a few minutes, this is what they got. I can’t help but think that the server might have needed more explanation and maybe some description, too.

29. She actually thought it was the thumb drive

Picture cakes are much more simpler because the image they’ll see in the cake can be printed in edible paper. The hard part is when the person doing the printing did not really understand what you wanted them to print out. Just like this unlucky Redditor who now have to celebrate her thumb drive instead of the real reason she’s requested the cake for.

Who would not be enticed with this kind of food packaging, right? Huge pepperoni and a cheesy dough equals perfect combination! Apparently, the three huge pepperoni shown in the packaging are the only pepperoni on the pizza and now, what used to be impressive has turned out to be annoying.

Chef Gordon Ramsay would be appalled if he ever sees this huge raw chicken inside this sandwich from hell. Did they really think people won’t notice? Sadly, someone took a bite already and we sure hope he did not get salmonella from that unfortunate bite.

37. This banana and Chocolate chip pancake

Breakfast the American way always involves pancakes, and one of the most popular variation of this famous food is by adding bananas and chocolate chips on it. However, there’s one restaurant who serves banana chocolate chip pancakes this way. I’m not sure what’s inspired this aesthetic but I initially thought I was looking at a huge caterpillar and its poop on top of that mushroom looking pancake.

It’s always exciting to bite onto a mozarella stick because of their stickiness and unique flavor. So, can you imagine the disappointment this guy must have felt after biting on this empty stick? What a heartbreak!

39. A “mushroom” pizza

Clearly, a mushroom pizza must have mushrooms as toppings. Or maybe they should have emphasized the plural form of the word and instead of saying mushroom pizza, they could have said “mushrooms” pizza? In any case, mushroom is mushroom and it’s simply mind-boggling how some people can miss these kinds of instructions.
