There was a point in Jaycob’s act that you could really tell had an effect on everyone. Not only did he have an incredibly soothing voice, but combined with the powerful lyrics made it that much more intense.

He sang,

“Now if we had the power, to bring our neighbors home from war. They would have never missed a Christmas, no more ribbons on their door.”

Yet, even more emotions flooded in after Howie Mandel said,

“You sang with so much soul, like you’ve lived a life longer than your years.”

Little did anyone know, Jaycob actually had a tough story to tell.

He responded, “Life hasn’t always been easy, my childhood was pretty rough.”

Jaycob explained to everyone how he and his sister had been in foster homes since he was five-years-old. The hardest part was not having a consistent home, or knowing if he was loved.
