Farmer’s hilarious family parody nabs 2.27 million views

January 11th, 2021

Derek Klingenberg started out as a regular Midwestern farmer. Let’s just say that Derek’s methods of farming cattle and harvesting grain are, well, non-conventional. If you know anything about farming, technology is an extremely important element in order to keep up with the demand of production. Only this time, Derek has incorporated technology in a pretty laughable way.

And it’s received over two million views so far.

Derek takes pride in three daughters who adapt to the ways of hometown and farm life, and not only that but thrive in it. Each one looking in her element, Maria, Aleah and Sophia show off their denim, cowgirl boots and pigtails.

There has never been a cuter cowgirl.

Maria, the oldest of the three girls, leads the pack of youngsters throughout fields of prairie and open space. With many different kinds of animals roaming the land, there is always something to occupy the curiosity of the little ones.

Kittens seem to be the particularly popular choice.

In the video below, Derek documents the daily life (in other words, shenanigans) of a farmer’s daughter. Crafting a hilarious parody to PSY’s 2013 hit song, “Gentleman,” Derek and the three girls get down in their cowboy boots, in the field, in the grain bin, on the dirt road, or wherever it seems fitting. The anthem for the track?

“I’m a Farmer’s Daughter.”

And no one does it better. But there’s a twist coming. Just when you think that you’re viewing the lives of the youngsters in their hay-day, you haven’t seen anything yet. Continue watching through the video and you will experience a serious time-warp. You will see about 15 years pass by with a brief intermission that will leave you thinking, “that escalated quickly.’

Suddenly, three kitten-loving little girls are now primary farmhands, and they do their jobs spectacularly. That is, if part of their job includes humoring their dad in his digital creations, which it seems quite obvious that it is. At one point, Dad’s YouTube channel happened to gain worldwide fame.

And the girls so humorously participate.

With greenscreens galore, Dad, Maria, Aleah and Sophia line in formation and kick up their heels. But they don’t only have moves to show off. They also have a plethora of adventures they want to show the world is part of life on a farm.

In the Flint Hills of Kansas, one weirdo farm boy started a YouTube channel, made some goofy videos, and the rest is history.

Whether bailing mounds of hay, off-roading on an RV or racing the hills on horseback, these girls are capable of just about anything – Even helping their dad gain fame on YouTube, Twitter, Snapchat and TikTok. Dad on the other hand, can regularly be found serenading cattle with a trombone, making the cows a “cake” and even herding them around singlehandedly with a drone. Now that’s non-conventional. And the world loves to see it.

There is no limit to the creativity that happens on the Klingenberg farm.
