With so much buzz about alternative living, you’ve probably seen some unique options online. In particular, tiny houses. But what about a tiny tent? That’s right, along with all the converted storage containers, bus transformations, and again, tiny houses, one couple took their living situation in a different direction.
A better life
After living in Southern California for a long time, one couple wanted to live a better life. They were looking for a way to live simpler and debt-free. But first, that meant moving away to a new location.
New Mexico bound
After weighing the pros and cons of various areas, they chose New Mexico. But a big move wasn’t their only decision. Now, they had to figure out how they would accomplish their goals of having no debt or unnecessary clutter. So, they opted for a tiny tent.
Not an ordinary tent
You might think it’d be impossible for two adults and two small children to live comfortably in a tent. Well, this isn’t just any tent. Both the exterior and interior look far more like a small cabin. It’s genius.
Beautifully crafted
Working with limited square footage, the couple organized things in a way that offered them plenty of living space. And with the tiny tent so perfectly crafted, it was also safe. With their new home sitting on two acres, they also get to enjoy all that nature has to offer.
Overcoming challenges
Even with a well-built tent, this couple had to overcome various challenges. But they’ve discovered that living this way comes with some unique benefits. Instead of feeling cramped, it’s strengthened this family’s bond.
Outdoor adventures
Surrounded by wilderness, the kids help their dad gather wood, play, and explore. Unlike city living, this gives them the freedom they craved. And there’s no question, the children love it
Out of captivity
As the father explained, in Southern California, they felt as though they were living in captivity. It was impossible to move about freely. But now with their tiny tent, that problem’s solved.
Their favorite spot
Having a tiny tent sitting on open land has proven to be even better than imagined. Although the interior of the home is gorgeous, perhaps their favorite place to hang out is the fire pit. There, they cook their food and relax while enjoying each other’s company.

The inside of this tiny tent is spectacular. It looks and feels like a traditional cabin. Although small, it boasts a living room, eating area, kitchen, bathroom, and separate sleeping quarters for the couple and their two kids. Overall, it has a homey vibe.
Bringing a dream to fruition
With everything done, this man and his wife ended up with a beautiful home nestled in the country. When they’re not inside, which isn’t all that often, they love taking hikes. With some hard work and dedication, a simple idea turned into a masterpiece.
