Have you ever heard the saying beggars can’t be choosers? It basically means if you are asking for a handout, don’t be so ignorant as to make demands along with it. If you ask for something, be happy with what you get. Don’t demand more.
Or if a store or service is offering a freebie of something, you are grateful for it. You don’t demand better, because they didn’t have to give you anything in the first place.
Clearly, there are a lot of people unaware of these common sense rules.

This has to be some stupid kid. No fully functioning adult would think this would work. A Dell Alienware 17” is way over the top for what they supposedly need.

Someone needs to learn that. They got a FREE CAR and they’re complaining about expenses. Welcome to the real world. It costs real money.

4. We are giving something away!
Simple marketing. You offer something for free to entice new users or customers. Then there are stupid customers that feel you should be giving them even more.

If you truly are starving, you will eat whatever someone gives you. If someone is willing to give you their leftovers, you don’t ask for something else!

8. Yeah, it doesn’t work like that
If this person was actually entering a program, any dog would do. And most trainers/programs will choose the puppies themselves. This sounds like someone trying to score a specific puppy.

9. Can you help us?
We would like to crush your business, but we need your help to do so. Please upload all of your years of hard work and provide us with your ID. Thank you!

12. Will pay $1
These cats can cost up to $3k. And this person is asking for one for a buck. If you really want a cat, a rescue will do.

13. Perhaps a kid?
One who hasn’t grasped the concept that people don’t usually work for free. Or how to spell, for that matter.

14. She didn’t learn it from dad.
Okay, someone risks their life to get your phone. Then you start making demands and threats that they bring it to you. Too many learn entitlement from their parents, but it looks like she didn’t learn it from her dad.

15. I want to help you out!
Yeah, you just want something free. And probably end up being a bridezilla and making someone’s life hell because you are cheap and a bitch.

So someone actually wants you to pay them to take your goods. Huh. Most people understand that’s not the way it works.

Then go harass him.
Why would you assume somebody giving something away also has something else they want to get away? And if someone else has put you want, shouldn’t you be in conversation with them?

20. And what have you done?
People are so quick to complain. Someone is offering money and help. And then someone else—who has probably never helped someone in their lives—complains that it isn’t enough.

25. This can’t be legit
Can it? Unfortunately, it can. There really are people like this in the world. Actually several of them if there’s a whole sub-Reddit dealing with them.

If people who run their own companies thought you should offer your services for free, here is the answer. Ask them what product or service they are giving you for free.
