Georgina started her audition off on a good note when she entered the audition room as ecstatic as she could be. Her first words to the judges were, “Hi, my name is Gigi and I know that I am the winner of The X Factor UK 2017.

She then told us about her backstory, highlighting her then 4-year-old son Elijah who she had when she was 16-years-old. She admits that although it was hard at first, he is now her life. She dedicates every performance to her son. “For my son, for me and my son,” she left us with as she began her audition.

“Can you smile for me Simon?” She questioned her favorite judge. This let us know that she was loads of fun, and though she took her audition seriously, she was there to celebrate.

“I’m smiling,” he quirked, already liking this energetic young woman. But who wouldn’t? So far, everyone was in good spirits.

But would that carry over to her music? Sometimes you get an amazing personality, but talent? Not the greatest. However, when it comes to Georgiana, everything matched up.

Whenever she opened her mouth to sing, “Love of the Brain” by Rihanna, we didn’t know what to think. The girl had some pipes!

But what did Simon have to say? “You were a little bit all over the place and there were notes that were all over the place, but I really like you!”

“You know to sing Rihanna’s Love on the Brain, you got to be a confident, sexy woman,” Alesha Dixon agreed.

Gigi didn’t bring family with her, so host Dermot O’Leary waited patiently for her results. Though if he had heard her voice, he probably would have known ahead of time.

But what about Sharon? “You remind me of an untrained racehorse.” Sharon thought Gigi was fearless, and Simon called her “mesmerizing.”

But did she get through with four yeses? She sure did!

While Georgina didn’t win The X Factor that year, she will surely make it far in the industry. Boy band Rak-Su took the prize in 2017, but we’ll never forget this bubbly woman known as Gigi.
