Have you ever had a job you hated?
Chances are the answer is yes. When we’re just getting our careers started, many of us take odd jobs here and there to make ends meet. Sometimes those jobs lead to more opportunities and we get stuck in a line of work that really might not be right for us. In a lot of those cases, the desire to phone it in becomes pretty overwhelming.
Here are 30 hilarious examples of employees who really threw in the towel.
1. This super helpful ramp.
We’re not sure the guys who installed this really understood all the implications of the term “handicap-accessible.”

2. The gutter goes on the high ground, right?
This one is actually so inept that it goes right back around to being downright impressive.

3. Technically, it still works…
As messed up as this is, this light probably makes some really cool patterns as the light goes through it.

4. Solid advertising.
Sometimes it’s the details that really make or break the execution of an idea—this is a case in point.

5. It’s a secret passage!
But wait, how does the sand stay in the box? Also: does Google have a playground on their campus?

6. This works, right?
What was the guy supposed to do, weed the entire street? It’s hard to blame anyone on this one.

7. Good luck with this one.
Ever wanted to be trapped in an elevator forever? Better reach out to whoever put these elevator buttons in!

8. Captain Obvious rides again!
Technically, there’s nothing wrong with this one. Solid sign placement if you ask us.

9. This is a new meaning for “double doors.”
On a serious note though, someone is going to get seriously injured by this. Calling it now.

10. Seems legit.
This should hold, right? Seriously though, the audacity it takes to pull this off is pretty impressive.

11. Laziness or marketing genius?
We’re leaning towards the latter. It’s memorable enough, at the very least.

12. Nice try, guys.
Still good advice, just not quite the intention they were going for.

13. Some people take things so literally.
You can’t argue that whoever wrote this did the job they were asked to do, though.

14. Hey, at least one of them is right!
English is hard, guys, give the poor guy a break.

15. Some flexibility required.
It’s still serving its purpose, this is just a creative take on the handrail. We totally get it.

16. Bathroom slats, anyone?
At least the bathroom will be well ventilated?

17. Something seems off here…
I guess it would help if you could actually reach the banner.

18. Some people always take shortcuts.
Honestly, it would probably be less work to just mow the whole lawn than to delicately mow around a cone like this.

19. The anti-sale.
Not a lot of subtlety here.

20. The guys are on the wrong track.
On second thought, maybe we’ll just drive…

21. Always nice to eat at a fancy restaurant.
This raises a lot of questions about the production process at whatever factory makes these menus.

22. Woohoo!
The times are really changing, apparently.

23. Being bilingual is important.
If only every language was as easy to learn as Spanish!

24. But… how?
I’d rather not get trapped in the elevator, thanks.

25. Pretty straightforward patch job.
Nobody will ever know the difference!

26. Congratulations!
Side note: why quotation marks and parentheses?

27. What? How?!
Take another point off for comic sans. Graphic design is important, folks.

28. A little creativity can solve any problem.
Still, why wouldn’t you just… move the clock a few inches?

29. Mirrored ceilings, nice.
Nothing says comfort and privacy like a 360 view of any and all toilet activities.

30. Constant updates.
It’s always good to stay informed.
