Welcoming a new baby into the world is a joyous moment for families. What better way to capture those first few precious days, months, and years than with a photo shoot? And what better place to find ideas than Pinterest?

Pinterest is a crafter’s haven and DIYer’s happy place. It’s filled with so many inspiring ideas for art projects, home decor, hairstyle ideas, the list goes on. Another category that people turn to for ideas is baby photo shoots.

Now, anyone who has ever used Pinterest to execute a project or an idea knows that things don’t always end up looking like they did on the website. These moments are called “Pinterest fails.” They happen to the best of us.

These families tried their best to capture their baby’s innocence and sweetness in a beautiful photoshoot — they keyword here is “tried.”

These parents deserve an award for their effort.

1. Oh, the irony.

2. Not quite that “sweet baby” look they were going for.

3. Get that poor thing out of there!

4. Hmm…it just doesn’t look quite the same.

5. They almost nailed it. Then disaster struck.
