If we can catch our loving house-trained pets doing the strangest things, imagine all the weird and absurd behaviors wild animals can be caught doing with all that freedom and open space.

Shareably has compiled 18 hysterical wildlife photograph submissions from 2015, 2016 and 2017 Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards. These funny and brilliant entries range from what seems to be a dancing baby hippo to a mischievous monkey throwing up bad words using a fist and one (very specific and infamous) finger. The founders for this photography competition are photographers Paul Joynson-Hicks and Tom Sullam. The duo’s ultimate purpose for this light-hearted contest is to raise awareness to wildlife conservation, cleverly described as “Conservation through Competition” on their Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards website.

“The last two years have seen some fantastic entries, and we want to see even more animals represented than before,” explained founder Joynson-Hicks. “Go out and photograph, wherever you are… a squirrel could win the competition… we want to raise awareness of conservation of all animals all over the world, so wherever you are, take pictures of those wilder things!”
