Thrift stores are a great place to find unique clothing at bargain prices. To quote Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ 2012 hit song “Thrift Shop“, it is a place to “pop some tags” with “only 20 dollars in [your] pocket”.
If you find yourself in a thrift store, you can see for yourself how one person’s discarded belongings can become another person’s revered treasure. If you still don’t believe that, the video below just might be what you need to convince you.
In 2013, Lauren Reilly went to the thrift store in search of a dress. She jokingly dubs herself the “pinnacle of modern day fashion” as she displays the $5 beautiful dress she found at the thrift store.
But as it turns out, Lauren isn’t wearing a dress at all. Instead, the deceiving dress is actually a pantsuit!
That pose just says it all to me.
When Lauren made this discovery, she decided to share her amazing find to the internet, and the internet loved it. Her 39 second video has amassed almost 3 million views.
The video was uploaded in 2013, but many still find it hilarious and adore it to this day.
Seeing this funny video almost makes me want to go to a thrift store too and see what treasures I can find.
But in the end, I love Lauren’s enthusiasm at her special find, and her dance moves and pronunciation of “pants suit” are one of a kind.
